
The roots of the Peace Corps, the organization that sends skilled volunteers to work on development and education projects worldwide, run deep in Colorado. Colorado State University researchers in 1961 published one of the original feasibility studies that led to the creation of the organization, and both CSU and the University of Colorado have sent volunteers into the service of the organization.
