Colorado’s Bioscience Discovery Evaluation Grant Program has created 598 jobs in the state, with payroll exceeding $44 million, according to the Colorado BioScience Association and the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade.

Appropriated funding to date for the program has totaled $14 million; $10.8 million had been awarded as of August 2010, and $5.5 million has been appropriated for each of the next two years, said Holli Baumunk, the association’s president and chief executive.
