Authorities aren’t yet sure what caused the death Sunday of convicted burglar Tiffany Ann Nobi in a Fort Collins hospital, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office said.
An autopsy was performed Wednesday by the Larimer County coroner’s office, but the cause of death was inconclusive, a spokeswoman said. Toxicology and other tests will take several more days.
Nobi, 25, had been ill since Jan. 9 when she was taken to the hospital after jail medical staff had trouble waking her, according to the Sheriff’s Office. She was initially thought to have meningitis, but that was later ruled out.
She had been in the jail since Jan. 6, after she was arrested on a warrant by Loveland police.
