Colorado Nonprofit Association, a diverse group of Colorado funders, has made a commitment to award $50,000 to a nonprofit collaborative that exemplifies excellence and impact.

SafetyWeb Inc., with offices in Denver and California, announced it has acquired iHound Mobile and . iHound helps people track family members using GPS; find lost or stolen devices; and lock and erase sensitive personal information from an irretrievable device. Coming soon, will provide personal ID security and privacy.

FirstBank Holding Co. of Lakewood contributed cash donations totaling more than $4.2 million to Colorado nonprofit organizations in 2010. The contributions were made to hundreds of organizations across the state.

Gates Corp. of Denver will donate more than $500,000 worth of power-transmission products as part of its support of the 2011 FIRST Robotics Competition. The products will be used by students to design and build robots.
