Rev. Bernice King, author and daughter of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., will speak on “Living the Love” 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at The Potter’s House Church of Denver, 9495 E. Florida Ave. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
King, a graduate of Spelman College, holds a master’s of divinity and doctorate of law degrees from Emory University. King also holds an honorary doctor of divinity degree from Wesley College.
King is active in the cause of non-violence and a preacher of the gospel, said Potter’s House Senior Pastor Chris Hill. “We hope people will come and have their hope restored and their spirits strengthened,” Hill said.
King began her speaking career when she served as a substitute for her mother at the United Nations at age 17.
Potter’s House is an independent expansion of Bishop T.D. Jakes’ The Potter’s House Church of Dallas.
