Officials are looking for information about a Chihuahua puppy that was thrown out of an SUV and abandoned at a 7-11 in Colorado Springs.
On Jan. 29 at about 6:45 p.m. a large, white SUV parked in front of the gas station. The driver opened the door and tossed the small puppy out of the car and drove away, according to a news release from the Humane Society of Pikes Peak Regions Animal Services.
The puppy, leash in tow, tried to chase the SUV before a customer retrieved it.
The puppy is currently being cared for at a foster home and is unavailable for adoption.
