GOLDEN, Colo.—A 40-year-old Conifer woman has been sentenced to five years in prison for stealing almost $1 million from her employer.
Denver’s KMGH-TV reports that Christine Alice Sylvester was accused of stealing $951,000 from Windish RV Center in Lakewood from November 2007 to the end of last year. Authorities say she created a fictitious company in 2007 where she could deposit the stolen funds, which she used for vacations, cars, clothes and jewelry.
Sylvester was arrested last July after an internal audit showed discrepancies in the company’s accounts. She pleaded guilty to felony theft in December.
