A 50-year-old Colorado Springs man has been arrested as a suspect in a local bank robbery.

The robbery happened about 8:30 a.m. at the Wells Fargo Bank, 1800 S. Nevada Ave., according to a Colorado Springs Police Department media release.

The robber fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and police officers and detectives searched the area. A weapon was not seen during the robbery.

Police said a man in “possession” of cash from the robbery who was found nearby.

He was arrested and identified as Gullick Springen.

Springen is being held at the El Paso County Jail.
