Pauly D has made a name for himself on the DJ circuit, though not necessarily for his turntable (or laptop) skills. The infamous “Jersey Shore” cast member and legendary party boy is of the postmodern reality TV-star crop — the famous- for-being-famous elite (think Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton). But fame, of course, has its price. Tickets to Paul’s set at Beta Nightclub tonight will run you $25, plus service fees. But if you’ve got the cash, it’s probably worth it — if only to witness the sea of blowout hairstyles, bling bling chains and nonstop fist-pumping as Pauly D serves up the hot beats. It’ll be just like MTV’s Spring Break . . . in Denver . . . in the dead of winter. Find tickets at .

Smith Westerns is one of the buzziest bands in indie-rock right now, and they share more than a few things in common with Denver’s own indie-buzz- band, Tennis. Both call the rising Fat Possum records home and both feature jangly, overdriven guitars in the foreground of their sound. Monday’s show, one of many presented by Reverb this season, comes on the heels of last month’s “Dye It Blonde,” Smith Westerns’ sophomore release. The band’s youth shines through the record with high, airy vocals and relatively basic chord progressions — but it works, and it’s catchy as hell. Tickets, $11-$13, are available at .
