DENVER—A plane headed from Denver to Philadelphia was swapped out after an extra person left the plane while the crew was checking the list of passengers.

Denver International Airport spokeswoman Laura Coale says Southwest Airlines requested help from a police canine unit and the Transportation Security Administration at one of its gates Friday night. Southwest spokeswoman Whitney Eichinger says the airline decided to swap planes “out of an abundance of caution” after the person took off.

Nothing was found on the plane. Flight 430 carrying 98 passengers was delayed for about an hour, departing around 10:30 p.m.
