BOULDER, Colo.—Marquelle Dent scored 25 points Wednesday night, and the Regis Jesuit Raiders advanced to the Class 5A state championship with a convincing 72-45 victory over the Fort Collins Lambkins at the Coors Event Center.
The second-seeded Raiders (20-7), who have won nine straight, will play the winner of the ThunderRidge-Highlands Ranch game for the 5A crown Friday night.
Diani Akigbogun and Justine Hall scored 11 points apiece and Jamie Revels added 10 for Regis, an Aurora school.
No. 3 Fort Collins (19-8), led by Nicole McAuliffe’s 12 points, took the lead briefly early but trailed 19-12 at the end of the first quarter, 30-21 at halftime and 48-30 at the end of the third period.
