PUEBLO, Colo.—Abby Dorman scored 23 points and No. 4 Evangelical Christian Academy used a 7-0 overtime run to beat No. 1 Sedgwick County 63-58 in the Class 2A state semifinals Friday night.
ECA’s Sydney Bost hit a jumper from the wing as time expired to tie the game at 54-54 and force the four-minute overtime period. The Eagles (24-2) went on a 7-0 run to start overtime, then held off a Sedgwick County rally to earn their 14th consecutive victory.
ECA will face No. 7 Sanford (21-4) in the state title game Saturday night at Massari Arena.
ECA built a seven-point lead in the fourth quarter, but the Cougars went on a 12-4 run to take a 53-52 lead with 25.9 seconds remaining.
Laura Beckman led the Cougars with a game-high 27 points.
