Officials have released name of the man who was killed in a single-car accident near Allenspark yesterday afternoon.
Richard C. George, 29 of Westminster, was killed on Colorado 7 in rural Boulder County, according to a news release from the Boulder County Coroner’s office.
At 12:04 p.m., George was driving southbound in a 2004 Subaru Legacy when for an unknown reason he swerved hard to the right, Trooper Nate Reid, spokesman for the Colorado State Patrol, said.
The car then spun clockwise off the right side of the road before the left side of the car hit a tree.
George died at the scene. He was not wearing his seat belt.
Drugs and alcohol are not suspected in the crash, Reid said.
