Weld County commissioners on Wednesday unanimously approved an energy park in northern Weld that could feature a solar farm, geothermal facilities, research facilities and a wide variety of other alternative and conventional energy operations.
That 5-0 vote came after more than three hours of discussion, much of which centered around legal matters approving what everyone involved called a first-of-its-kind planned unit development.
