A Tibetan mastiff called Hong Dong may the world’s most expensive dog.
A coal baron named Yang on Saturday paid $1.52 million for the 11-month-old dog.
Hong Dong, which means Big Splash, came from a private breeding base in Qingdao city in east China’s Shandong province.
The puppy is nearly 3 feet tall at the shoulder and weighs more than 180 pounds, according to his breeder, Lu Liang.
