Arielle Roberson, a 6-foot-1 senior forward at San Antonio’s Wagner High School and a sister of Colorado men’s basketball player Andre Roberson, has given an oral commitment to CU women’s coach Linda Lappe, according to the Boulder Daily Camera.

Arielle averaged 18 points this season and also was considering Boston College, North Carolina State and San Diego State. She extended the commitment while in Boulder this week to watch the CU men’s team defeat Texas Southern in the National Invitation Tournament and the women’s team beat UC Riverside in the Women’s NIT.

Noble lifts DU over Sacred Heart.

The No. 1 6/19 University of Denver men’s lacrosse team defeated Sacred Heart 13-12 in four overtimes Saturday in Fairfield, Conn. Freshman Jeremy Noble netted the game-winner for the Pioneers, who improve to 5-2 on the season. Sacred Heart slides to 3-3.

Juniors Mark Matthews and Alex Demopoulos led DU with five points each. Sophomore Eric Law added three goals and an assist for the Pioneers.

Kittle makes DU history.

University of Denver senior Grace Kittle became the first women’s swimmer in DU history to receive All-American honors with an eighth-place finish in the finals of the 200 breaststroke at the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships in Austin, Texas. Kittle finished with a time of 2:11.12. “This is such a great way for Grace to round out her collegiate career,” said head coach Brian Schrader.

• Wyoming’s Kelsey Conci placed 42nd in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 49.57.
