EDWARDS — Family and friends gathered Wednesday in Todd Walker’s native Vail Valley to celebrate his life — while others gathered half a continent away on the University of New Hampshire campus, where Walker played football.
The Vail Daily reported that it seemed most of the valley’s residents were at the ceremony, waiting patiently to greet the Walker family.
Walker, 20, died during a robbery in Boulder last week while protecting a female friend.
Walker is survived by his mother and father, Mark and Pam Walker; an older sister, Stephany, who also graduated from Battle Mountain High School; and friends from coast to coast, the newspaper said.
