Getting your player ready...

Have you tuned into Vista TV yet? It’s been burning up the airwaves on Comcast Channel 19 for 2 1/2 years with what owner Joel Spicola calls “hyper local Denver television.”

I was recently interviewed for the station by Anya Grind, a 25-year-old marketeer. She looks young, I look old. Change the channel, please.

The rest of the content you can watch. In a segment dubbed “Mile-Hi Movers & Shakers,” the station has interviewed Troy Guard, Steve Farber, Mike Shanahan, Charlie Monfort, Chuck Morris, Frances Owens, Brady Quinn and a host of others.

It’s also a pay-for-play deal where Vista charges to make profiles of restaurants and businesses, airs the segments on TV and online, and the clients get to post it on their own websites. Spicola says it’s working out — little by little. “We’re covering our costs, but we’re not swimming in cash by any means.” His clients seem to like the product, and that’s good for now.

Next up is a series called “Grill vs. Grill.” Host Howie Drummond, from Alice 105.9 radio, is looking for people to enter a grilling contest. So if you’re a patio daddio, go to to apply — where you can also check out the content on demand. You can watch Vista programs beginning at 7 p.m. weekdays and 9:30 a.m. weekends.

Mr. BIG.

Watch out. “Big Brother” holds auditions from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 9 at Rocky’s Autos, 6350 Federal Blvd. You can check out eligibility requirements and get an application at . Basically, you have to be 21 and not running for office and not crazy. If you’re selected, you live in a house in LA for 100 days starting this summer.

Bells are ringing.

If you hear bells ringing Wednesday night, don’t think it’s Christmas again. Holly Kylberg, socialite owner of the top floors of the D&F Tower, is hosting a VIP party to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the iconic Denver building. Wednesday marks the 100th anniversary of the first chime — so Kylberg and friends will ring it 100 times, between cocktails and appetizers. Ring-a-ding-ding.

Home sweet home.

Miss Colorado USA Blair Griffith made a big media splash when she came out as a homeless beauty queen last month. She wasn’t and isn’t in a shelter, but she and her mom lost their townhouse to the bank and ended up staying with friends.

Now Griffith is taking on another role — advocate for homeless pets through PETA. In an op-ed piece last week in the Boulder Daily Camera, Griffith writes, “I have been fortunate to be the recipient of many offers of assistance since losing my home, but most of Colorado’s homeless animals aren’t so lucky. It’s them that we should feel sorry for.”

City spirit.

Mike Ditka is here May 17 for the Jewish Family Service Executive Luncheon. . . . Add Josh Lucas (currently starring in “The Lincoln Lawyer”) to the star roster at next weekend’s Vail Film Festival. He joins Kate Bosworth and Michael Imperioli. . . . Sez who: “Big Brother is watching you.” George Orwell
