A man suspected of pimping a 17-year-old girl was running a prostitution ring that could have been raking in more than $10,000 a day, according to an arrest affidavit.

Christian Alan Laswell, 29, is scheduled to be in Denver County Court today to hear charges of pandering of a child, trafficking in children, child prostitution and other counts. He is being held on $100,000 bail.

His sister, Theresa Laswell, 19, and brother, Alexander Laswell, 24, also are suspected of involvement in the ring, according to the arrest affidavit for Christian Laswell.

Denver vice police staked out Laswell’s 1271 Verbena St. home after arresting a woman and a man who were allegedly working for an escort service he ran. The two, Alexandria Theis and Eric King, both 19, told police that Christian and Theresa Laswell ran the escort service.

In an interview with police, the 17-year-old, not identified because of her age, told police she had worked “for the Laswells for approximately three weeks and in that time had committed approximately 30 tricks/calls, an estimated 15 of which involved acts of prostitution,” the affidavit said.

She described Christian as a “pimp” and Theresa Laswell as an aide to him, the affidavit said.

The girl told them she charged johns $250 per hour-long session and $200 per half-hour session. A “two-girl show” was $500 per hour and $400 per half-hour.

She said she made more than $2,000 a day doing tricks and that six other women also turned tricks for Christian. The girl said Christian Laswell took 70 percent of the money she made.

Christian Laswell has a prior record that includes an arrest by Fort Collins police for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a weapon, for which he was sentenced to 90 days in jail, according to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
