LOVELAND, Colo.—The city of Loveland is closer to winning its quest to be the location for a technology park sponsored partly by NASA.

A partner in the venture said Tuesday that out of more than 40 proposals, the main focus is now on the Agilent Technologies Inc. campus in the northern Colorado city. The Colorado Association of Manufacturing and Technology says that will prompt discussions with Loveland, which is in the process of buying the complex.

However, the association says a final decision hasn’t been made on the site of the Aerospace Clean Energy Manufacturing and Innovation Park. The group is NASA’s lead partner in the project.

The Loveland Reporter-Herald reports park is expected to draw scores of companies and employ as many as 7,000 people in turning NASA-controlled patents into products.
