DENVER—Regulators have proposed a total of more than $93,000 in fines for homebuilder D.R. Horton and four subcontractors.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration said Monday it inspected a D.R. Horton work site in Parker and found subcontracted employees were exposed to the hazards of falling during framing and sheathing. OSHA proposes a $70,000 penalty.
OSHA also proposes a combined $23,640 in penalties for subcontractors Kellory & Co. Inc., Webb Construction Inc., Dain Construction Inc. and LBR Construction Inc., stemming from allegations of not enough protection from fall hazards during framing and sheathing and inadequate training on using forklifts.
The companies have 15 days to contest the citations.
