An 11-year-old boy from Georgia died while skiing at Winter Park on Friday, after colliding with two other skiers on the slope. 9News said Winter Park police identified the boy as Tyler Safarriyeh of Alpharetta, Ga.
A Winter Park spokeswoman said the boy was skiing Friday afternoon on the White Rabbit intermediate trail when the collision took place. She confirmed Saturday that the accident involved an instructor and student in the disabled ski program riding on sit-ski devices.
The boy was pronounced dead just after 3:50 p.m. He was wearing a helmet. The Denver Post
