Cooler temperatures and even a chance of snow are expected to move into the metro area overnight.

Tonight’s low is expected to be near 32 degrees. As the clouds roll in, they will bring with them a chance of rain and possible snow showers after midnight.

Cloudy skies will carry into Sunday, with a 30 percent chance of precipitation and a high near 53 degrees. Winds will return Sunday night with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Weather conditions in the mountains are expected to be touchy all weekend as Saturday morning’s mild conditions are replaced with a 60 percent chance of snow in some areas.

Snow showers will carry into Sunday in the mountains, with a high near 27 degrees and an additional two to four inches of snow. Sunday night snow storms will start to lighten up after midnight with a low around 16 degrees.
