Eagles headed to Arizona:
Arvada’s Faith Christian boys basketball team, four-time champions in Class 3A, will be part of the inaugural Christian Cup to be played Dec. 8-10 in Gilbert, Ariz. The Eagles, who have owned Colorado’s midrange, will take on seven others in the field that features four entrants from Arizona and one each from Delaware, Nevada and Oregon. Gilbert Christian will be the host school. Faith Christian, behind tournament MVP and junior Nathan Rindels, beat Jefferson Academy in March at Moby Arena in Fort Collins to win its fourth consecutive title.
