The Crystal Fire, which burned about 3,000 acres west of Fort Collins since starting on April 1, is fully suppressed, officials said this afternoon.
Federal crews will turn responsibility for mop-up and monitoring over to Larimer County crews as of 7 p.m. tonight, they said.
The blaze consumed 13 homes and, at its peak, was fought by about 376 personnel from 30 agencies, according to the management team.
The cause of the fire is still undetermined. The cost of the fire has been estimated at more than $2.4 million.
The fire in thick pine stands and dry grass and shrubs was fed, at times, by high winds in the rugged terrain on private property and public lands in the Roosevelt National Forest.
Fire restrictions enacted in the Arapahoe and Roosevelt national forests remain in effect.
