PUEBLO, Colo.—Pueblo County sheriff’s detectives are investigating the death of an 8-year-old girl and the wounding of her father.
The Pueblo Chieftain reports that the body of Desirea French was found inside her home Sunday night. Her father, John French Jr., was found wounded in another room.
Authorities say the girl’s death is considered “suspicious” but they haven’t said how she died.
Her father was being treated Monday at Parkview Medical Center.
Charlene Graham, chief of the Pueblo County Sheriff Office’s law enforcement bureau, said there was no evidence of a forced entry. No arrests have been made.
The victims were discovered by another family member who lived in the home.
