A person was shot this morning by police in Westminster as officers served a drug warrant at a home.
The incident happened at about 10:30 a.m. in the 8000 block of Grove Street, said Trevor Materasso, a Westminster Police Department spokesman.
Westminster PD SWAT officers were assisting the North Metro Drug Task Force in serving the warrant when the shooting occurred, Materasso said.
The person who was shot was taken to a local hospital.
Details on the shooting victim’s identity and injuries were not available. No one else was injured.
The block has been sealed off and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
