The UMS is consistently one of the best weekends of the summer in Denver, and this year’s festival — July 21-24 along South Broadway — will be no different. Reverb has the jump on the four-day festival’s schedule, and note, this is only the beginning. The festival organizers will be announcing lots and lots more in the coming months — remember, this is the only festival in the state that includes 300-plus bands and musicians and comedians.

There are already some exciting names on the list — national acts and local bands. Among them, we’re particularly looking forward to seeing Oklahoma art-freaks Colourmusic and Tennessee indie rockers Royal Bangs. We’re also fans of New Orleans swanksters Generationals, Boise rocker Finn Riggins and Philadelphia-rooted singer-songwriter Denison Witmer.

Not to mention the many great locals who will represent the 303 (and 720 and 970 and 719) including Snake Rattle Rattle Snake, Houses, Varlet, Wheelchair Sports Camp, Mr. Pacman, Kingdom of Magic, Ian Cooke, Danielle Ate the Sandwich and more. Here’s a full list of the locals who are confirmed so far. Get your tickets cheap — $25 — right .

In addition to the national acts mentioned above, here are the locals already confirmed for this year’s 11th annual UMS:
