Claim: “. . . I created programs for 11,000 inner-city kids.”

Facts: From 1991 to 1993, Hancock worked for the Denver Housing Authority in the Resident Communities Services department. Part of his responsibilities, says Stella Madrid, the organization’s community-affairs officer, was to oversee programming geared toward all public-housing families.
According to Madrid: “In terms of our targeted goals in reaching children, 11,000 is a realistic number.”
