A Colorado Springs man is accused of murder in the April 15 death of his 3-month-old son at an apartment complex on the city’s north side.
James E. Pierce, 19, was booked into the El Paso County jail Monday after an autopsy found that his son Jayden Pierce was beaten to death, Colorado Springs police said.
Jayden was unresponsive when officers responded about 8:45 a.m. April 15 to a 911 call at an apartment in the 1600 block of East Woodmen Road, police said Tuesday.
Efforts to revive the boy were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead less than an hour later at Memorial Hospital Central. The Gazette
