COLORADO SPRINGS — A Colorado Springs man convicted of beating his adopted teenage son has been sentenced to 119 years in prison.

The Gazette reported Monday that 40-year-old Jeremiah Lovato was accused of hitting his son with lumber, a meat tenderizer and a belt. The two lived in Craig before moving to the outskirts of Colorado Springs in 2009 after the adoption became official. From Denver Post and wire reports
