East Yale Avenue was closed near South Xanadu Way in Aurora for more than an hour this afternoon after a car crashed into a townhome near the intersection at 3:11 p.m.
The driver suffered minor injuries and the house sprung a gas leak, prompting authorities to close the road while utility crews responded, said Aurora Police Lt. Charles DeShazer.
No fire or other problems resulted from the ruptured gas line in the home, he said. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
