Alaska Airlines – which provides service from Denver to Seattle and Anchorage – announced today that the carrier’s 36 dispatchers have ratified a new four-year contract by a ratio of 86 percent.

In a joint announcement with the Transport Workers Union, the airline said that the new contract includes wage increases and provisions that improved “quality of life issues,” among other changes.

“This contract is a direct result of the committed input and support of our membership and represents an agreement that was achieved through open, honest conversation between the company and the union,” said John E. Plowman, president of the Transport Workers Union Local 542.

Kelley Dobbs, Alaska Airlines’ vice president of human resources, said the airline was pleased to have ratified a contract that “recognizes the professionalism, dedication and skills” of the dispatchers.
