A 15-month-old Denver boy was killed Sunday morning when he was hit by a vehicle in his family’s driveway.
Jeremiah Lopez was crawling around the vehicle when a juvenile driver struck him while backing the car out of the driveway on the 3800 block of North Navajo Street.
The driver, who was with a parent, was not aware that Jeremiah was outside, Denver police Spokesman Sonny Jackson said.
According to a police report, the vehicle was moving less than 5 mph.
The Denver District Attorney’s office reviewed the case and declined to file charges against the juvenile, Jackson said.
