GOLDEN, Colo.—A 31-year-old Lakewood man living with parents who run a day care facility has been charged with possession and distribution of child pornography and attempted sexual exploitation of a child.
The Jefferson County district attorney’s office said Monday Cody Ryan Charlton was arrested May 1. Lakewood police officers executed a search warrant at his home in April and allegedly found a sexually graphic video and images of children.
Officials say Charlton’s mother operated a day care facility at their home. The childcare license had been suspended Thursday.
Charlton posted a $15,000 bond last week, but he is not allowed to possess weapons, be around underage children or have access to the Internet.
A phone message left for Charlton wasn’t immediately returned Monday.
Charlton’s preliminary hearing is set for May 26.
