Golden police this afternoon arrested an adult male after chasing him through thick brush and over rocky outcroppings in Jefferson County Open Space west of town.
Police received reports of a naked man walking in the 500 block of Cheyenne Street at about 2:10 p.m. When officers approached him, he fled into the mountains at the northwest corner of the intersection of Colo. 6, 93 and 58.
He eventually stopped running and was taken into protective custody. He was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries and further evaluations.
The man’s name will not be released unless police decide to file charges against him, Golden police said in a news release.
