The Colorado Springs Police Department arrested a 30-year-old police officer Wednesday on allegations of purchasing child pornography.
Josh Carrier, 30, was charged with possession of child pornography, a Class 4 felony. Carrier has been with the force for seven years.
At this point, officials believe Carrier only purchased photos from a website.
Carrier had several assignments where he worked with youths, including school-resource officer at Horace Mann Middle School, a coach for the Police Athletic League and an adviser in the department’s Explorer program.
