Frontier Airlines has selected a New York-based company to spearhead its public relations campaigns across the country.

The firm, MWW Group, said it will it will capitalize on Frontier’s highly successful “whole different animal” presentation and raise awareness of the Frontier “brand” in its hub markets and the various destinations it serves.

“Frontier’s distinctive brand and loyal following make it a perfect cultural fit for MWW Group. Our innovative approach to our industry, combined with a passionate and dedicated team, will enable Frontier to reach new audiences, as well as to galvanize and grow the brand’s base of support,” said Michel W. Kemper, president and CEO of MWW.

“One of MWW Group’s specialties is challenger brands, and like Frontier, we are a ‘whole different animal’,” he added.

Indianapolis-based Republic Airways acquired Denver-based Frontier in October 2009.

Ian Arthur, Frontier’s vice president of marketing, acknowledged that recently Frontier has experienced significant changes.

“As we look toward our next phase of growth, we wanted a partner that would bring holistic, strategic thinking, expertise in digital and intuitive understanding of our brand and our culture to the team,” said Arthur. “Public relations is a critical element of Frontier’s marketing mix, and we believe that MWW Group is an ideal partner…”

The public relations firm said that it will help guide strategy for all of Frontier’s communications initiatives as well as craft programs focused on enhancing the brand’s social media presence.
