DENVER—Officials say drivers should expect delays and traffic stops next week on Interstate 70.

The Colorado Department of Transportation said traffic will be stopped Monday on I-70 west of Denver so crews can install a fence to catch falling rocks. Delays of up to 20 minutes are expected on both lanes.

Westbound traffic will be stopped at Georgetown interchange and eastbound traffic will stop at the Silver Plume interchange.

Bridge work will resume at 9 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday at the Beaver Brook interchange, where traffic will be rerouted. All westbound lanes will be closed.

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, one westbound lane will close at Georgetown Hill. One eastbound lane will be open from Twin Tunnels to U.S. 6 between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. those days.
