Average retail gasoline prices continued to fall in Denver last week, with the average cost per gallon at $3.68 — well below the national average of $3.77 a gallon, according to the gasoline-price website .

Prices in Denver on Sunday were $1.08 a gallon higher than the same day a year ago and 5.4 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.

In Denver, the average cost of a gallon fell 1.8 cents last week while it fell 3.2 cents per gallon nationally.

The national average has decreased 13.7 cents per gallon during the past month and is $1.04 a gallon higher than a year ago. Howard Pankratz, The Denver Post; Associated Press photo
