The Board of Trustees for Metropolitan State College of Denver will vote this morning on a proposal to raise tuition by 22.6 percent for the 2011-12 school year.
According to 9News, a full-time student paying about $1,550 now per semester would pay more than $1,900 next year. College officials told 9News a hike was needed because of a $7.1 million cut in state funding and increased enrollment.
