LOVELAND — Minneapolis-based developers who plan an arts-oriented, multi-use project in Loveland have settled on the historic Feed and Grain building as their focal point.

Nonprofit Artspace Projects Inc. has blended a bent toward the arts with a savvy knack for real-estate development, a combination that has worked in more than 25 projects nationwide.

Last week, Artspace entered into a purchase agreement with Feed and Grain owner Barry Floyd.

“I’m happy on many, many fronts,” said Floyd, a downtown Loveland real-estate investor who has sought a way to preserve and reuse the old mill that he bought in 2006 for $400,000. “I want this all to go smoothly. We’re scheduled to close by the first of next year.”
