A Fort Carson soldier was arrested this evening on suspicion he is the so-called “Craigslist Robber,” who advertises a car for sale on the website, then robs the people who come to look at it, who are carrying cash to make the purchase.

Lansfield Adam Scott, 25, was arrested at an apartment at 7145 Alegre Circle in Fountain after a tip on his location and his possible link to the crime, police said.

“The caller reported seeing the suspect entering an apartment through a window,” police said in a media release.

He was arrested on a warrant failing to comply with conditions imposed by a military court.

The suspected vehicle, a silver Chevrolet Caprice, was found in a nearby park, police said.

He faces new charges of aggravated robbery, a felony. The robberies happened on May 23 and on Monday, both in the evenings, about a block from the apartment where Scott was arrested.
