CENTENNIAL — A panel late Tuesday was deciding whether Centennial Councilwoman Sue Bosier violated the city’s ethics code when she allegedly misled authorities after she removed illegally placed campaign signs.
Bosier was stopped by police early Aug. 6 with 10 campaign signs of then-Greenwood Village Mayor Nancy Sharpe. Sharpe was running for Arapahoe County commissioner, and Bosier was the campaign manager of Sharpe’s opponent, Lauri Clapp, in the Republican primary.
The ethics board, made up of council members, is looking into claims that Bosier made false statements, including telling a sheriff’s deputy that she had the authority to remove the signs when she didn’t and mis identifying a juvenile who was with her at the time.
A request by Bosier to have several members of the council removed from the ethics panel was denied. Carlos Illescas, The Denver Post
