Conditions at Colorado banks continued to deteriorate in the first quarter, according to a report Monday from BauerFinancial, a bank-rating firm out of Florida.
Troubled and problematic banks represented 26.8 percent of the total, up from 25.7 percent of all Colorado banks in the fourth quarter and 24.8 percent of banks in the first quarter 2010.
Ten banks in the state had a zero rating, with no new banks receiving that lowest rating during the quarter. Two Colorado banks failed in the first quarter, United Western Bank and FirsTier Bank of Louisville.
