Offensive lineman A.J. Frieler, a 6-foot-5, 295-pound former Greeley West star, will be eligible to play this season as a Colorado State freshman after spending one year at the Air Force Academy’s prep school.

Frieler played on two conference championship teams at Greeley West, which advanced to the Class 4A state title game in 2008 against Wheat Ridge when Frieler was a junior.

His uncle, Mitch Roggy, played for CSU and cousin Connor Roggy is a defensive back with the Rams.
