A 2-year-old boy who fell 12 feet from a window in an apartment on West Bowles Place in Littleton broke no bones.
“He’s in great condition,” said Mark Techmeyer, spokesman for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department.
The boy, who was taken by helicopter to Children’s Hospital in Aurora, is expected to be released on Sunday.
Offficials said his mother was in the home and the incident is not being investigated as a crime.
“Every year it seems like we have a few children who fall out windows and balconies,” said Michelle French, spokeswoman for West Metro Fire Department, which responded to the accident. “It just happens so quickly. This is reminder for parents that a screen can not hold a child, and that it’s important to keep furniture away from windows that kids might climb on.”
