Crested Butte Bike Week, formerly known as Fat Tire Bike Week, returns this weekend with a new name to celebrate the evolution of mountain biking in the town that considers itself the sport’s birthplace. The schedule of events:
Thursday: Night at the Museum Party at the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame
Thursday-Saturday: “Rippin’ Chix Clinics” with Alison Gannett
Friday: Chainless World Championships
Friday-Saturday: Tech Expo
Friday-Sunday: Wildflower Rush (divisions include cross country, downhill, dual slalom and super-D)
Saturday-Sunday: Bridges of the Butte 24-hour race
Saturday: Clif Bar Fat Tire 40
