DENVER—Damage to the Glenwood Canyon bike trail from continued flooding will keep riders in the 2011 Bicycle Tour of Colorado from pedaling into Glenwood Springs on Thursday.

About 1,500 cyclists are expected to take part, according to the Glenwood Springs Post Independent.

Meanwhile, flood advisories remain in effect for minor flooding in Colorado.

The National Weather Service says river levels will begin to increase and could affect more areas by week’s end.

Weather forecasters say a flood advisory will remain in effect until Saturday for the Colorado River, and advisories are in effect Thursday for the Cache La Poudre, Elk River and rivers in Jackson County.
