Investigators are seeking information about a couple who approached two 11-year-old girls playing west of Nederland on Saturday evening. According to a deputy’s report, the couple approached the girls from the car near Cardinal Road. The white male driver, about 200 pounds with brown hair and rectangular glasses, spoke to the girls as if he knew them and asked them to come play at his house more often. A white woman in the car stared straight ahead and said nothing, the report said.
The car might be a white Hyundai hatchback with Colorado license plates, a green tarp in the back seat and has a flat back end, according to the report. The girls did not know the man. They backed away from the car and into the woods.
